![]() LED Grow Light Selector (Aquarium light selector is below)
The type of plants grown plays an important role in determining the proper light for your garden. For plants requiring more light, the light is placed closer to the plants lowering the effective coverage area. For plants requiring less light, the lights can be placed higher for an increased coverage area. Every application and growing environment is different and we encourage you to adjust your LED lighting to your needs. Below is a basic reference that can be used as a starting point to determine your LED grow light needs.
GlowPanel® 45: Extremely versatile and easy to use. The GlowPanel 45 replaces a 250w HPS. The GlowPanel 45 can be used for seedlings, clones, mother plants and also to fruit and flower. The GlowPanel 45 is an ideal option for growers needing to grow 2-4 plants to harvest in a small space. As a primary light, The GlowPanel 45 is suitable for 2-4 plants 3’ tall in a 5 square foot area (2.5’ x 2.5’) and will yield excellent results. As a supplemental light, the GlowPanel 45 has no limits as up to 28 GlowPanel 45s can be linked together. This means large indoor gardeners now have a great way to provide side lighting around the entire circumference of their gardens with just one plug going into a timer or wall outlet. The GlowPanel 45s can be hung horizontally vertically or anywhere in between. They can even be placed INSIDE THE PLANT CANOPY making them the best supplemental lighting option for large indoor gardens. See the image gallery for more ways to use a GlowPanel® 45 GrowSpot™: The GrowSpots provide coverage for up to 4 square feet (2’ x2’ area) and are capable of flowering plants. Since they fit into any standard light socket, there are endless options for their use. They can be used to start seedlings, grow herbs, micro greens, flowers and more. They provide fantastic plant lighting in common areas & office environments where hanging a panel or another grow light is not an option. See the image gallery for more ways to use a GrowSpot GrowSpot 6500K: Has the same great benefits & features of the mixed spectrum GrowSpot. The 6500K GrowSpot emits pure white light so it can be used in areas where the magenta hue of an LED grow light is not wanted. For plant growth, the 6500K is not as potent as the mixed spectrum GrowSpot but it provides an amazing amount of white light for 12w so it is also a very good room light. The 6500K GrowSpot replaces a 110w incandescent bulb or a 40w compact fluorescent. GrowUFO®: The GrowUFO replaces a 400w HPS grow light and provides excellent coverage for up to 9 square feet (3’x3’ area) for flower & fruiting plants and up to 16 square feet for vegetative plants. The GrowUFO is linkable up to 8 units for increased flexibility. This is a very popular light for indoor growers looking to grow 4-8 plants indoors. See the image gallery for more ways to use a GrowUFO GrowPanel Pro® - The commercial grade GrowPanel Pro comes in two models. The 300w & the 600w. Both versions will yield big buds, fruits and flowers. The 300w version replaces a 600w HPS and the 600w GrowPanel Pro outperform a 1000w HPS. This light is the preferred choice of large indoor growers using 600 – 1000 watt HPS fixtures. This is also the preferred lighting systems for commercial greenhouse growers. For freshwater fish only tanks, we recommend 1 AquaPanel for any tank up to 30” long. 36” to 48” tanks should have 2 AquaPanels, and for any tanks over 48” long they should have 1 AquaPanel for every 24” of tank length
For freshwater planted tanks, and marine FOWLR tanks (Fish Only With Live Rock) we recommend the same number of our LED lights, but you should use AquaUFOs instead of AquaPanels For reef tanks you should use 1 AquaUFO for every 18” of tank length
